Inspiring young people to take action in their communities around the world
Following the on-site Fellowship program, our Fellows work on their individual Action Project: an independent venture focused on promoting democratic values in their own communities. Action Projects are as diverse as Humanity in Action Fellows. Fellows apply their new knowledge and perspectives to the communities they impact—in whatever format they find meaningful. The Humanity in Action community is a great resource for getting support—be it with contacts, experience or good advice.

Comapping
As their Landecker Action Project, Jo is creating "Comapping," looking at how maps can be used as a tool for democracy. Through running workshops and building open-source software, the project supports communities to use participatory mapping to share who they are, where they live and what's important to them.

Senior Fellow Mira Vance created a project uniting international and interfaith organizations and activists to develop intersectional and accessible survivor supports.

Senior Fellow Mary Olivia Storz created Survivor Fund Hub, a national financial care fund for survivors of gender-based violence.

Njena Ulica (Her Street)
"Njena Ulica" is a project initiated by EDVACAY participants Layla Jusko, Selma Pandža, and Adela Mujezinović. The project's primary objective is to raise awareness about underrepresented notable women in Bosnia and Herzegovina by “assigning” their names to the streets of Sarajevo on a large mural.

The project was focused on fundraising & solidarity for Woman* Life Freedom's intersectional work for the Iranian Feminist Revolution.

Film festival on Wars in Europe: Did We Really Wake Up?
The festival explored the societal effects of the wars in Bosnia, Kosovo and Ukraine through film screenings and following panel discussions

We got this! The Feminist Hackathon
Anna Bednarczyk is a sociologist and a researcher and is currently developing a PhD project about feminist movements and a concept of safety in Argentina at the Graduate School for Social Research in Warsaw. She holds an MA in sociology and in Sustainable Urban Governance and Peace.

Platforming Peace
Kris Coffield is the Executive Director of Imua Alliance, a non-profit victim service provider for survivors of human trafficking located in Honolulu, Hawai’i. For his Landecker Democracy Fellowship project, Platforming Peace, Kris is convening ten activists affected by violence in order to reclaim digital space as a site for organizing peace and collaboration, rather than discrimination and social decay.
