• The Turquoise Tent

  Senior Fellow Cagdas Citirikkaya wanted to promote Turkish culture in Denmark as a way of challenging the dominant and negative image that Turks are often confronted with in Danish society. Cagdas organized a Danish-Turkish arts and music festival in Aarhus, Denmark. It presented music, theatre, art, cooking courses and other aspects of both Danish and Turkish culture in the hope that participants from different backgrounds could challenge their own prejudices through interacting and enjoying culture together.

• Danish Children in Nazi Captivity

  Senior Fellow Solvej Berlau wanted to ensure that Danish students would not lose the opportunity to learn about the role Theresienstadt played in Denmark’s World War II history. She decided to create a documentary film about Theresienstadt by telling the stories of six Jewish children who were transported from Denmark to the concentration camp.

• ROMA: A Discussion on Diversity

  This project was an e-learning course of lectures and discussions created by Senior Fellow Sahra-Josephine Hjorth and the Danish non-profit CanopyLAB. The course focused on the treatment of Roma in Europe and drew parallels to current debates around migration.
