In the 11 months following the on-site Fellowship program, our Fellows work on their Action Project: an independent venture focused on promoting democratic values in their own communities. Action Projects are as diverse as Humanity in Action Fellows. Fellows apply their new knowledge and perspectives to the communities they impact—in whatever format they find meaningful. The Humanity in Action community is a great resource for getting support—be it with contacts, experience or good advice. Interfaith Coalition Dinner Series
Senior Fellows Zoe Robbin and Mariam Hassoun created the "The Interfaith Coalition Dinner Series," which brought together student leaders from Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, and Secular on-campus spiritual and religious groups to plan a dinner series.
Local Narratives of Diversity in Action - Against Urban Antisemitism and Social Exclusion
Senior Fellows Jan Kirschenbaum, Dominika Burakiewicz, Ioannis Stylianidis, Bethanie Martin, Maciej Kirschenbaum, and project partner Aleksandra Wilczura planned to restore the presence of the Jews in Poland in the collective memory by implementing lectures, workshops, murals of Polish-German-Jewish sports clubs, and a football tournament for children.
Tietz Lecture on Addressing Antisemitism
Senior Fellow Alexander Busold and his colleagues from the Her.Tietz Initiative organized a webinar on the topic "Addressing Antisemitism One Year After the Attack in Halle."
Senior Fellow Alexander Busold founded the Her.Tietz Initiative. The Her.Tietz Initiative is committed to an open handling of the Nazi history of Hertie, an active commemoration of the victims of the Shoah, and to fighting Antisemitism today.
Senior Fellow Larissa Weiss developed a blog which touches upon the issues of racism, critical thinking, and acting in Germany. The blog mainly introduces privileged Germans to the struggles of black, indigenous, and people of color.
