På grund af den globale Coronakrise har vi valgt til at revidere Sommerakademiet til et format, der tager ansvar for deltagernes sundhed og sikkerhed, samt overholder de nationale reguleringer. Humanity in Action Denmark har valgt at omlægge det Københavnske Sommerakademi til et tre-ugers program fra den 10. august – 29. august 2020. Det Københavnske Sommerakademi vil også deltage i et par udvalgte virtuelle seminarer i juni ledet af Humanity in Action International.

Study trip to the Faroe Islands
Located between Norway and Iceland, the Faroe Islands is a self-governing archipelago in the Kingdom of Denmark. In cooperation with local non-government and other organizations in the Faroe Islands, the 2020 Copenhagen Fellowship will visit the Faroe Islands and examine the idea of the “Unity of the Realm” from a Faroese perspective.
During the visit, we will ask:
- How do the Faroese envision their future?
- How do Faroese communities experience the growing global interest in the Arctic region?
- How is climate change affecting life and livelihood?
- What is the relationship between Tórshavn, the Faroese capital, and the outer islands? What is Tórshavn’s relationship with Copenhagen?
- How do the Faroese view their relationship with Denmark, past and present?
Join us as we dive into the pressing realities of this often overlooked region and Denmark’s role in shaping it.
Due to the world wide outbreak of Covid-19 Humanity in Action Denmark has been forced to cancel the study trip to the Faroe Islands. We hope we can resume this important part of the Fellowship in 2021.

Explore the 2020 Copenhagen Fellowship's Open Events
This year the Copenhagen Fellowship 2020 focused on Denmark's relation to Greenland and the Faeroe Islands. Using a Human Rights lens we dived deep into the pressing realities of this often overlooked region and Denmark's role in shaping it. During the Fellowship we hosted four Open Events where the Copenhagen public was invited inside to discuss related topics with our Fellows. All events tried to untangle the complex issues related to the Unity of the Realm as well as understanding what civic engagement and Action means in 2020.
