Humanity in Action is pleased to announce our 2023 Humanity in Action Fellows. Coming together from 12 countries via our six national offices, this cohort of Fellows will participate in four Fellowships in the United States and Europe. Humanity in Action Fellows are dynamic, passionate young leaders who care deeply about improving human rights, strengthening democracy and changing the world for the better.

“I can’t wait to get to know these emerging human rights leaders and activists who are about to begin their journey with Humanity in Action! In June 2023 they will be exploring past and present human rights violations in their program countries as well as strategies for responding to these challenges,” said Monika Mazur-Rafał, International Director of European Programs at Humanity in Action. “I am happy to welcome a diverse group of young people – including many coming from many underrepresented groups – to share their experiences. Through Humanity in Action’s educational model, they will enhance their knowledge and skills as well as expand their networks to be part of a vibrant community of people supporting each other and working together beyond national borders, across disciplines and sectors.

“Welcoming new Fellows to the Humanity in Action family is an absolute joy and privilege,” said Talia Dubovi, Interim CEO of Humanity in Action. “Every year, our Fellows bring new perspectives, experiences, and insights that strengthen and add vibrancy to our network. These Fellows now get to experience Humanity in Action’s unique approach to examining current challenges through the lens of history and cross-cultural dialogue. In a few short weeks, they will gain new skills, perspectives, and friendships that will stay with them as they embark on their own professional journeys.”

The Fellows will participate in virtual and in-person programming, followed by a year-long program consisting of online sessions. Learn more about each of this year’s Fellows by clicking on their pictures below. Learn more about each national cohort through the following links:
