Filmevent: The Role of Women in the Reconstruction after War

On Saturday, February 18, our last film screening of the film festival will take place at the Cultural Center Oyoun in Berlin,” shared organizers and hosts of the event, Senior Fellows Celine Cojocar and Ajla Sahbegovic.

The film “Hive” by Blerta Basholli will be screened. It shows the struggles of a group of widows that are trying to provide for their families after the war and start a business to sell a local food product. Together, they find healing and solace in the new venture, but their will to live independently is soon met with hostility.

After the film screening there will be a panel discussion on the role of women in the reconstruction process in Kosovo and the possibility of a reconstruction in Ukraine in the future.
