Senior Landecker Fellow Christiana Bukalo is a 2022 Echoing Green Fellow. The latest cohort of Echoing Green Fellows is a group of 18 leaders with bold and audacious ideas for transforming the world.

This year’s cohort is selected from a global pool of nearly 1,400 applicants and is “advancing innovative solutions to systemic issues in criminal justice, civil and human rights, economic mobility, and health care,” the official press release states. “The reach of their impact spans 10 countries from Afghanistan to Germany, Guinea, India, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, and the United States.”

Furthermore, Echoing Green’s community consists of over 1,000 social innovators including past Fellows such as First Lady Michelle Obama and the founders of Teach For America, Center for Black Innovation, BlocPower, and more.

Christiana is one of thirty 2020-2021 Landecker Democracy Fellows. This fellowship, a collaboration between the Alfred Landecker Foundation and Humanity in Action, was created to strengthen a new generation of leaders whose approaches to political and social challenges can become catalysts for democratic placemaking and community building.
