Senior Fellow Mariana Karkoutly is one of many Syrian activists and organizations meeting with the German Interior Ministers about extending the Syrian deportation freeze. Mariana is a co-founder of the initiative Visions4Syria, which is supported by Adopt a Revolution, and she is active in the #SyriaNotSafe campaign. The call to action is propelled by the fact that deportations to Syria will not only result in human rights abuses, but will also mean cooperation with the Assad regime, undermining international sanctions against the regime.
