In episode 15, Fabrice speaks with Joy Sanchez-Taylor, an Associate Professor of English at LaGuardia Community College (CUNY). Professor Sanchez-Taylor, whose research specialty is intersections between science fiction, fantasy, and critical race theory, discusses how writers of color can challenge “science fiction’s history of Eurocentric representation through the depiction of communities of color in fantastic or futuristic settings.”
