Nilakshi Parndigamage promoted to Vice Provost at Yale

In March 2024, Senior Fellow Nilakshi Parndigamage was promoted to vice provost for strategic initiatives at Yale. In addition to serving as vice provost, Nilakshi will continue as chief of staff in the Office of the Provost.

As vice provost, Nilakshi will continue to guide provostial processes that align gifts to Yale with the academic priorities and university mission. In the additional capacity of chief of staff, she will serve as an advisor to the provost, oversee strategic communications, and operate as a thought partner and resource to Provost’s Office staff and other colleagues at the university.

“Nilakshi’s commitment to mission-driven, complex, and relationship-oriented work has been a theme throughout her career,” shared Scott Strobel, Provost, commending her ability to design considered approaches to complicated problems “while building and maintaining robust partnerships.”
