Senior Fellow Noam Schimmel interviewed Jacqueline Murekatete, a survivor of the Rwandan Genocide Against the Tutsi, to form a critical perspective on reconciliation in Rwanda. The interview was recently published in Peace Review, A Journal of Social Justice.
The work is titled “A Critical Perspective on Reconciliation in Rwanda: Toward Peace and Coexistence, Centering Genocide Survivors’ Human Rights, Dignity & Welfare,” and is now available in full via Taylor & Francis Online.
Noam was also published in Peace Review last year, with an article about the ethic of friendship in academic research, centered around Rwandans’ disappointment with researchers who visit the country.
