Humanity in Action Denmark invites you to a panel discussion about the future of the Unity of the Realm. This event is one out of four public events presented through the 2020 Copenhagen Fellowship.
In this panel discussion the speakers will discuss the future possibility of the Unity of the Realm. They will address questions such as: Does the Realm even have a future or is secession and sovereignty the natural culmination of a long historical development?; and should we rather work towards a redefining and a strengthening of the unity; a Unity of the Realm 2.0?
After the debate the audience will have the opportunity to ask extensive questions, e.g. how climate change, human rights and identity affect the discussion concerning the future of the Realm.
Panelists:
- Aki-Matilda Høeg-Dam (member of the Parliament for Siumut, chairperson for the Greenland Committee and member of the Arctic Delegation).
- Sjúrður Skaale (member of the Parliament of Javnaðarflokkurin, chairperson for the Arctic Delegation and Vice Chairperson in the Faroese Islands Committee).
- Martin Lidegaard (member of the Danish Parliament for Radikale Venstre, Arctic Rapporteur og Greenland Rapporteur).
- Moderator: Jonas Bredal Juul, Humanity in Action Denmark Board Member.
