Landecker Democracy Fellow Evein Obulor is publishing the collection of works by 20 Black FLINTA (Women, Lesbian, Inter, Nonbinary, Trans, Agender) called “Schwarz wird großgeschrieben” (Black is capitalized). The book will be published on September 27th, 2021.

In the book, 20 Black FLINTA tell intimate stories about their lives in Germany as well as their goals for the future. In their writings, they break stereotypes, encourage rethinking, and create space for their own identities.

Evein is one of thirty Landecker Democracy Fellows. This fellowship, a collaboration between the Alfred Landecker Foundation and Humanity in Action, was created to strengthen a new generation of leaders whose approaches to political and social challenges can become catalysts for democratic placemaking and community building.
