Asha Iman Veal on Dream Exhibition at Hyde Park Art Center

Asha Iman Veal is the guest curator for Dream, an exhibition of new pieces reflecting on the reality of our world at Hyde Park Art Center.

The Dream exhibition features pieces by twenty artists. Each of them bringing visual conversation on: “police brutality, the female body as monument, freedom of protest, conservation, class inequity, human migration, mortality, mental health, and indigenous visibility and rights.”

Recently, NBC 5 Chicago did a television story on the exhibition. Watch the recording taped live inside of the gallery to see the artworks and exhibition space here.

The exhibition further caught the eye of  FOX32 Detroit, which invited Asha to introduce the opening exhibition online:

Chicago’s Dream exhibition will be open till March 20, 2022. For more information about the exhibition, click here.
