Landecker Senior Fellow Asha Iman Veal has joined forces with the 6018 North experimental arts and culture space in Chicago, where her exhibition titled RAISIN is taking place this fall.
Recently, the Istituto Italiano di Cultura Chicago invited Asha to be a guest panelist for their visual and performance series taking place this December.
Asha is invited to speak about RAISIN, in conversation with visual and performance artist Marina Cavadini. Marina is also one of the RAISIN exhibiting artists, and participated in one of Asha Iman’s Artist Talks at 6018 North.

Asha Iman is one of thirty 2020-2021 Landecker Democracy Fellows. This fellowship, a collaboration between the Alfred Landecker Foundation and Humanity in Action, was created to strengthen a new generation of leaders whose approaches to political and social challenges can become catalysts for democratic placemaking and community building.
