On the 1st of October 2021, Design in Transition Podcast (Diseño en Transición in Spanish), which Landecker Fellow Erica Dorn co-created, is launching its second season.
Recognizing and celebrating cultural specificity, this bilingual podcast weaves interviews and commentaries in both Spanish and English. Through the platform, guests and speakers exchange on diverse topics and walks of life in an open dialogue. Not only building bridges across tongues, but also across perspectives, minds and hearts.
This new season, the guest list features a wide ray of professionals and academics, including Landecker Fellows Christiana Bukalo and Iason Apostolopoulos. Erica will also include an episode discussing her action project on civic mobility for Humanity in Action.
To listen to the second season of Design in Transition/Diseño en Transición, you can find a new episode every two weeks on Spotify. You can also follow the Podcast on Instagram and Facebook and subscribe on iTunes, Google Podcast and Anchor. The podcast is produced out of Carnegie Mellon School of Design. In addition to Erica, the co-creators include Sofía Bosch Gomez, Marysol Ortega Pallanez, Silvana Juri, Thomas Youn, Alex Polzin, Nandini Nair, and Kyle Leve.
Erica is one of thirty Landecker Democracy Fellows. This fellowship, a collaboration between the Alfred Landecker Foundation and Humanity in Action, was created to strengthen a new generation of leaders whose approaches to political and social challenges can become catalysts for democratic placemaking and community building.
