Bridge building skills like effective facilitation and conflict resolution are essential to addressing some of our most pressing civic challenges,” says Landecker Fellow Maia Ferdman in her latest LinkedIn post, releasing a new report on Bridge Building.

This report of a discovery process was conducted for Los Angeles City Council District 10, exploring ways bridge building can be used to improve the street engagement process.

Maia, together with her collaborators Shaphan Roberts and Daniel Wehrenfennig, held listening sessions with people who experienced homelessness, as well as service providers, government officials, and other key partners such as faith leaders or activists.

The team then made a set of recommendations for ways the City can coordinate and collaborate more effectively in addressing this crisis.
