Humanity in Action's response to the U.S. Supreme Court Ruling on Affirmative Action

Humanity in Action’s response to the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling that colleges and universities can no longer take race into consideration as a specific basis for granting admission:

In light of the June 29 U.S. Supreme Court ruling on affirmative action, Humanity in Action reaffirms its deep and unwavering commitment to diversity across all aspects of our work. Humanity in Action’s mission, since our founding in 1997, is to support democracy, pluralism, and human rights through our educational programs. We aim to foster environments in which individuals of diverse backgrounds and identities can engage openly and respectfully with each other about contentious and challenging ideas. The diversity of our community across all backgrounds – including, but not limited to race – is at the heart of our strength as an organization. Humanity in Action remains committed to this mission and to building diverse, inclusive cohorts for our programs.
