In cooperation with ‘Freedom Writers” (Vrijheidscollege) and www.Joop.nl, Humanity in Action The Netherlands organized a writing competition centered around Roosevelt’s four freedoms: The freedom of speech and expression, the freedom of worship, the freedom from want, the freedom from fear. Out of the 84 inspiring participants, four managed to come out on top and convince the judges, consisting of Senior Fellows, of their critical eye and writing skills. The winners recited their pieces at liberation festivals across the Netherlands. Two of the winners also spoke of their writings on Dutch national television.
