Amre Metwally (2011 Amsterdam Fellowship) has remained involved with Humanity in Action by serving as a 2012 intern, reading and evaluating applicants, and worked temporarily with the organization! A Fulbright Scholar, his professional interests center around free expression and the rising animosity between governments and technology companies to regulate speech online. A Policy Strategist at YouTube, Amre helps develop policy for content issues ranging from hate speech to violent extremism. Amre is excited to work with Humanity in Action in this new endeavor to foster deeper bonds among the Senior Fellow community.
