Andreas Holzinger is the Director for Innovation for Poverty Action’s Francophone West Africa offices: Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, and Mali. He previously served as Country Director for IPA’s Sierra Leone and Liberia offices. Andreas is a human development specialist with a track record of leading projects, research, and policy advice to governments in West Africa, Europe, and Latin America. Prior to joining IPA, Andreas served in international organizations such as the World Bank Group and the UN Migration Agency (IOM), where he oversaw project portfolios on economic inclusion, protection, and migration. He conducted (research) projects inter alia for large foundations, non-profit organizations, and networks, and enjoys working on innovative policy solutions through human-centered design. Andreas holds Master’s degrees from Sciences Po Paris and the Free University of Berlin, having specialized on the security, development, and inclusion policy nexus.
