From Vancouver, Canada, Anjali is a recent Stanford University graduate where she received a BS in Engineering Physics with a minor in Human Rights and completed her honours thesis through the Center for Democracy, Development and the Rule of Law. In Vancouver, she founded her own organization, GirlsCo. that focused on educating students on gender inequality while raising money for girls who live in the slums of Mumbai, India. During university, she combined her interest in engineering and social issues through her on-and off-campus experiences. These included co-founding a student group focused on international development, working for various sexual assault student organizations as well as with the UNHCR in Geneva and Malawi and a solar energy non-profit in Lesotho. In her spare time, Anjali loves to read and travel. Her most recent travels include a seven month trip across Southeast Asia.
