Anouk van Eekeren

Article

Anouk has recently earned her B.Sc. from Amsterdam University College with a major in medical sciences and a minor in law. Through her work as Chair of Amnesty International student group Amsterdam, she got to further explore her interests in human rights, and this was strengthened even more by her involvement with Humanity in Action. Her interests include women’s rights and human rights in the light of climate change, the latter being a core concept of the biannual arts festival Scopophilia she co-organised. Anouk aspires to pursue a Master in Environmental Policy with a focus on migration resulting from climate change, combining both her passion for the natural sciences and human rights. Anouk is a 2016 Humanity in Action Senior Fellow.
