Ata Göloğlu is a Turkish political activist and language enthusiast. He is also a student of Governance, Economics and Development and is currently focusing on development studies, specifically in the context of the Middle East and Eastern Europe. Currently employed as a translator for a multilingual project regarding Turkish immigrants in the Netherlands, Ata is intrerested in centering queer voices in the Anatolian region to facilitate the interpretation of what it means to be queer at the crossroad of many civilizations. As part of numerous Middle Eastern student associations at his university, Ata is involved in fundraising events for natural disasters in the MENA region. In addition, he is a spokesperson for Money Matters, a group for financially struggling students to come together and share their experiences, ultimately to cause change in wider academic culture.
