Brianna has a BA in Sociology and a BS in Molecular Environmental Biology from UC Berkeley. As an undergraduate, she was the student liaison to the Vice-Chancellor of Student Affairs (VCSA), a delegate on the VCSA Student Advisory Committee, a member of the Biology Scholars Program, and a volunteer with Alternative Spring Breaks in medically underserved areas. She researched infectious diseases at UC San Francisco and Keck Graduate Institute of Applied Sciences. After graduation, Brianna analyzed gender inequality in leadership positions at UC Hastings; and investigated how HBCUs promote Black student success at the Emerson Collective. In the Fall of 2020, Brianna was a Communications intern with the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, where she learned how to bridge science and public policy. Currently, Brianna is in a Master of Biomedical Engineering degree program at Cornell University as a GEM Fellow. She is researching cell-signaling in Muscle stem cells.
