Corey was raised near Atlanta, GA, and earned a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College where he concentrated in French and Africana Studies. In 2013, he earned a Juris Doctor from Northwestern University School of Law. He has gained substantive legal experience as a corporate litigation paralegal and as an intern in the Office of General Counsel of the Federal Communications Commission. Corey has developed national and international public policy experience with a leading public policy firm in Washington, D.C., and with the High Commissioner on National Minorities, an office within the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in the Hague. In 2011, Corey was selected as a Google Policy Fellow and his work with a media and technology think tank led to comment filings before the Federal Communications Commission and the Department of Energy. In addition to his training in the law, Corey specializes in media relations and communications, nonprofit strategic management consulting, nonprofit incorporation and development; regulatory compliance; corporate responsibility; and diversity & inclusion initiatives. He is fluent in French.
