As a response to the racism related to the COVID-19 pandemic, Hoang Tran Hieu Hanh co-created a group for the Asian Diaspora of Europe and has hosted artist and community talks on notions of home, mobility and the politics of care.
Their activism is centred around intersectional feminism, climate justice, the right to reproductive self-determination, and the sense of solidarity in communities of colour. In particular, she is passionate about exploring the links between environmental changes and migration/displacement in the urban space.
Hany is an alum of the Mercator Fellowship on International Affairs and was selected to the 2022 Mapping Inequitites Fellowship.
They had the opportunity to work and perform with various theatres such as Ballhaus Naunynstraße, Deutsches Theater, Rambazamba Theater, and Hebbel am Ufer (HAU). She is also a member of the Misplaced Women community since January 2018.
