Ianthe van Gool


Ianthe is an intern Program and Administration. She is currently studying history at the University of Utrecht. During her bachelor she specialized in the history of international relations and European modern history. Ianthe is mainly concerned with the historical development and problems of parliamentary democracies. For her graduation thesis she focused on transnational activism during the Cold War and investigated the Dutch solidarity movement and boycott actions against the Chilean Junta during the 1970s. Other research includes, among others, German memorial culture regarding the expulsion of Germans from Poland after World War II. Ianthe also has a keen interest in women’s rights and global gender inequality. In addition to her studies she was involved in a student committee for better education, for which she organized various educational activities.
