Jimena Rincon was born and raised in Colombia, but having lived in more than five countries, she considers herself a citizen of the world. Currently, she is based in Copenhagen, where she just received her MA degree in Applied Cultural Analysis. She combines human-based research with advocacy directed to public policy, the general public, and the NGO sector. Her most recent work has been in relation to political agency in war-ridden areas, historical racism and its impacts on contemporary public policy, and supporting indigenous/farmers struggles in Latin America and Asia. When she wants to take a break from politics, advocacy, and ethnography, she loves to dance to Afro-Caribbean music and cumbia. She also practices ballet, yoga, and is into getting to know different spiritual and philosophical approaches to life.
