Maria joined Humanity in Action as a Project Assistant in September of 2021. Following her academic base in Peace and Conflict Studies, she worked for several years with locally led initiatives in Ecuador and Georgia. These experiences have shaped her career and desire to support communities in social action.
Recently, she earned her Masters in International Development specializing in Migration from Brussels School of International Studies. During her Master’s she focused on community engagement and leadership in decision making processes in conflicts that have lasted for more than five years.
