Michael is an Austrian-American social worker, therapist, and organizer based in Nashville, Tennessee. As a therapist, he specializes in working with individuals and families impacted by traumatic stress. He is also the co-founder and director of a collective of mental health professionals working to address mental health disparities and access for the LGBTQ+ community in the southeastern U.S. His other professional interests include research, immigrant and refugee mental health, relational neuroscience, and anti-oppressive work.

Michael received his Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of South Carolina, Bachelor’s degree in Science from Vanderbilt University, and has extensive post-graduate training in traumatic stress and child development.
