Morten Svendstorp is a seasoned political analyst with experience from Danish and International politics, including on climate, energy, the environment and geopolitics.
Morten is currently serving as a Strategic Advisor to the Danish Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities. Previously, Morten served as team leader of the Ministry’s Energy Governance Program, overseeing Denmark’s bilateral energy cooperation with the US, the UK, South Korea, Germany and the Netherlands.
Prior to working at the Ministry, Morten worked as the Senior Advisor on climate, energy and the environment at the Danish Embassy in Washington and a political advisor to the Danish Socialdemocratic Party in the Danish Parliament for five years. He has also worked at the United Nations, NGOs and the German Parliament as well as a stint in journalism.
Morten received his B.A. in International Development Studies from Roskilde University in Denmark and holds a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University in New York, where he studied on a Fulbright Scholarship.
