Nikos Bakirtzis is a political scientist with a Bachelor degree in Balkan, Slavic and Oriental Studies with a major on Balkan Studies and a MA in Political Science/International Relations.
He has worked as a researcher and research assistant and completed internships in Greece and abroad. He is a Humanity in Action Senior Fellow and was a Konrad Adenauer Scholarship holder.
Nikos co-founded Athens-based NGO SEE in Action. He is interested in the issues of radicalization and extremism, nationalism, the democratization process of post-conflict states, and the concept of European integration of the Western Balkans.
