Parker Cellura is a recent graduate of the University of Cincinnati as a member of the University Honors Program with a BA in Political Science and a minor in Philosophy. Since the fall of 2018, Parker has worked with the progressive public policy nonprofit organization, the Roosevelt Network. In serving as president of the University of Cincinnati’s chapter of the organization as well as on the organization’s national leadership staff, he co-authored and published a local level policy initiative in a nationally circulating policy journal. In addition, Parker is currently researching the growing size, scope, and power of the financial sector’s influence in decision making, otherwise known as financialization, at public universities through a case study with the University of Cincinnati. In his spare time, Parker enjoys organizing with the Cincinnati Tenants Union in promoting access to affordable housing and rent cancellation amidst the corona-virus pandemic.
