Roi Silberberg

Dr. Roi Silberberg is a political educator with 18 years of experience. Since 2006, Roi held several positions in the School for Peace before becoming director at 2020.  His PhD thesis focuses on the philosophical basis and challenges of peace education.  Since then, Dr. Silberberg has published in peer reviewed journals such as the British Educational Research journal and Ethics and Education. In addition, Roi has published work in Hebrew and Arabic, specifically for teachers interested in politicizing their pedagogical practice and address issues such as racism and the Jewish Palestinian conflict. As a lecturer in the teachers training department of the university in Beer Sheva, Roi shares these practices with future teachers. Roi is also the founder of AMAL, an NGO focusing on teaching Arabic for Jewish pupils using critical pedagogy methods.
