Samuel Schidem

For over 12 years Samuel Schidem has been a leading educator on minority rights and Shoa education in Germany. Until recently Samuel was the Representativ of the Yad Vashem International School for Holocaust Studies in the German speaking countries. He also worked on developing educational programs for various educational cultural institutions in Germany and abroad – focussing on Jewish-Muslim relations, peace education and academic exchange. In 2016 Samuel founded a Humanitarian Aid Organization, that was honored with the Prize of the German Chancellor in 2018. He is actively working on establishing an International Coalition for the Prevention of Genocide. Since 2015 Samuel lectures on educational approaches to rememberance culture in Germany and Israel, religious radicalization, new forms of nationalism as well as racism, Islamophobia and Antisemitism.
