Sofia is a student at the University of Freiburg, currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences. She majors in Governance, focusing on international relations, social justice, migration, and sustainability. Further, she is interested in how we as society can respond to the challenges and intersectional inequalities in our globalized world. Sofia has been actively involved in university societies, such as Global Affairs in Dialogue, a committee that brings together students and experts to discuss issues of global importance, and has also acted as a student mediator. Cultural exchange has been an important factor in her personal development, and Sofia has lived in Spain, Peru, and India, where it was central for her to reflect upon her own privileges and to become active and take on responsibilities. In her free time, she enjoys arts, yoga, and spending time in nature.
