Stijn Ettes was born in the Dutch city of Hoorn, but has been living in Amsterdam for the last six years. While there, he studied history and the history of international relations at the University of Amsterdam. During his MA, Stijn was a board member of the Dutch United Nations Student Association. Currently, he is a member of the departmental board of the Labor Party in Amsterdam West. In his spare time, Stijn enjoys watching football, running and reading. He is also working on a novel in which he wants to give an insight on the different cultures in the Netherlands.
