Susan Terrio is a cultural anthropologist whose scholarly and teaching interests include youth and globalization, legal systems, juvenile justice, craft and family entrepreneurship, education and class structures, food and foodways. Her books include Crafting the Culture and History of French Chocolate (University of California Press, 2000) and Judging Mohammed. Juvenile Delinquency, Immigration and Exclusion at the Paris Palace of Justice (Stanford, 2009). She is currently studying the federal custodial system for unaccompanied, undocumented minors in the United States. She has taught at Georgetown University since 1993.
