Tianna Mobley is currently a second-year master’s student in Georgetown University’s Global, International, and Comparative History program. She received her BA in History with minors in African American Studies and Jewish civilization from Georgetown University in 2020. Tianna is passionate about finding creative approaches to applying historical research to transatlantic social justice work. In 2019, she spent a semester abroad at the University of Edinburgh, where she conducted an independent research project on black history in Scotland. As a Humanity in Action fellow, Tianna has created the “Untold Histories of the Atlantic World” podcast, focusing on overlooked histories and experiences throughout the Atlantic world. Tianna is also a current fellow at the White House Historical Association, where she works on the “Slavery in the President’s Neighborhood” initiative. After completing her master’s degree, Tianna plans to pursue a Ph.D. in History.
