Trey Walk is a Justice Fellow at the Equal Justice Initiative in Montgomery, Alabama. He supports the organization’s efforts to end mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the U.S., challenge racial and economic injustice, and protect basic human rights for the most vulnerable people in American society. He has a B.A. in History from Duke University and he continues to be involved with the university, having been elected by the student body to serve on the Board of Trustees. During his studies, Trey was involved in many community organizing and advocacy efforts, especially related to homelessness and affordable housing. Trey is a Humanity in Action Senior Fellow (John Lewis Fellowship 2017).
