Wilhelmina Welsch

Wilhelmina (she/her) is a 2006 New York City Fellow and 2007 Pat-Cox-Fellow. She was an active member of the Senior Fellow Network in Berlin, Germany from 2006-2011, supporting the Governance Board. 

She is an experienced executive manager, strategist, and innovation driver in the human rights, humanitarian, and development fields with 15 years of international professional experience with the UN in a wide range of situations, from disaster affected small island states such as Timor-Leste to large-scale conflicts such as those in Syria and Ukraine. Within the UN system and with a number of NGOs, she specialized in the design of information ecosystems to enhance strategic planning and programme development support to governments and the international community. She is also a writer and has been awarded for her interdisciplinary practice by successive recognitions as Resident Artist and Research Fellow with fluent in Santander, Spain, the Fundacion Thyssen-Bornemisza TBA21, Madrid, Spain and Santander Creativa. She is a member of the US-based poetry collective Invisible College – led by the poet Ariana Reines.
