Wilhemina Agbemakplido is a PhD Student at the New School for Social Research. Prior to the New School, Wilhemina held several positions in non-profit, community advocacy, and community justice organisations in Boston. She earned a Master’s degree in Dispute Resolution from the University of Massachusetts Boston and served as the Clean Energy program manager for the Massachusetts Climate Action Network. She co-founded Refugees Welcome! (Migrant Alliance and Partnership Network “MAP Network”). Wilhemina lives in a communal house In Brooklyn where she helps build and maintain community. She is mother to several houseplants, enjoys dancing, hiking, painting, and dreaming of a world filled with justice and equity.
