Community Newsletter Guidelines and Framework for Posting

The Humanity in Action SuperHive newsletter is a collaborative space where members of the Fellow and Senior Fellow Community can share requests, updates, accomplishments, and opportunities with each other.

The newsletter creation process is semi-automated, with posts appearing in each Wednesday’s newsletter. To ensure this remains a respectful and valuable platform, please adhere to the following guidelines when posting:

Respectful Community Engagement

In line with the Humanity in Action Code of Conduct, treat fellow Fellows and Senior Fellows with respect and assume good intentions in all interactions. Disparaging comments or personal attacks will not be tolerated.

Content Guidelines

Posts should focus on sharing information, asking for support, or celebrating successes, rather than engaging in debates or discussions. You are very welcome to promote your work, initiatives, or causes that are meaningful to you and relevant to this community. Please understand that overly repetitive or excessive promotional posts, particularly for commercial purposes, are discouraged and may be excluded.

Please use the bilateral email function to discuss a post directly with the poster. Additionally, explore HIA Connect’s Community Resources page for opportunities to engage more deeply. You can share your skills and expertise through Community Offers by hosting an event or activity or participate in Dinner Dialogues, to connect with Senior Fellows in your city over a meal and meaningful conversation.

Privacy and Sharing

Posts within the newsletter are intended for the Humanity in Action alumni community only. Please respect the privacy of fellow Fellows and Senior Fellows by not sharing content outside the community without permission from the individuals involved.

Editorial Oversight

Although posts are automatically added to the newsletter, we reserve the right to remove or exclude posts that violate these guidelines, including content that is inappropriate, offensive, or unrelated to the community’s interests. If you have concerns or questions about your post not appearing in a given newsletter, please reach out to Joanna at j.pottle@humanityinaction.org

Timing

The newsletter is sent every Wednesday. If you would like your post to appear in the next edition, simply add it before the upcoming Wednesday.

Contact for Inquiries

This newsletter is a space for Fellows and Senior Fellows to connect and share. For any questions, concerns, or inquiries, please reach out to Joanna, our Community Engagement Manager, at j.pottle@humanityinaction.org

Thanks for co-creating conversations that are respectful and supportive. 🫶

How does the (Senior) Fellows Newsletter work?

This newsletter is designed to give the Humanity in Action community an easy way to share requests, ideas, questions, and offers with one another.

If you’d like to contribute to next week’s edition, simply scroll to the end of this newsletter to submit your posts. While there, you can also create a basic profile and add a picture if you wish. For more details on how the newsletter works, click here or watch this short video.

Additionally, you’ll receive a “call for posts” email one day before each newsletter goes out. This will serve as a reminder of the previous edition’s content and an invitation to submit posts for the upcoming edition.
