Mirae kate-hers RHEE invites Berlin based Asian thinkers, makers, and doers to talk about community, care, collecting, cooking, and curation from diverse positions. On March 10, 2023, Senior Fellow Hany Tea is moderating a panel discussion on these issues at the Humboldt Forum in Berlin.

*The Korean word Madang means a flexible open space for special events, family gatherings, traditional performances and is a collective environment that is a shared space, encouraging interactivity for the audience.

The event titled “Madang*” will explore different perspectives from the Asian Diaspora on art, music, food, and community. “In the light of anti-Asian racism and violence around the world that the Asian Diaspora has been experiencing since the pandemic began, the artist initiates a conversation amongst members of the diverse Berlin community who have been contributing to building solidarity for a larger creative movement,” the official program page explains.

The talk will be held partly in German and partly in English.
