As his Landecker Action Project, Jelle Zijlstra created Het Joods Manifest (The Jewish Manifesto): a platform with the goal of increasing knowledge about anti-Semitism, paving the way for improved ally-ship and solidarity, and exchanging knowledge and experiences.
In December 2022, the The Jewish Manifesto team produced their first video, released on Instagram.
In the video, nine Dutch Jews talk about their Jewish identity and their experience of being Jewish in The Netherlands. “The discussion includes reflections on what the most Jewish thing about the participants is to their everyday experience in the Netherlands,” the video description reveals.

Jelle is one of thirty 2021-2022 Landecker Democracy Fellows. This fellowship, a collaboration between the Alfred Landecker Foundation and Humanity in Action, was created to strengthen a new generation of leaders whose approaches to political and social challenges can become catalysts for democratic placemaking and community building.
