Landecker Fellow Ayden Férdeline moderated a session at the Mozilla Festival (Mozfest) 2023. The panel titled “Reclaiming and Building Worker Power in an Age of Workplace Surveillance” explored the future of workplace surveillance technologies.
Ayden was joined by Dr Stephanie Perrin (Advisor, Electronic Information Privacy Center), Eduardo Enrique Carrillo Portillo (Co-Director, TEDIC) and Raashi Saxena (Social Innovation Practitioner). In the session, the speakers dovetailed into the proposed Global Digital Compact and WSIS+20, as both may be vehicles for labor rights advocates. “For anyone following these UN developments, this sessions might be particularly of interest,” Ayden added.
The virtual event was live-streamed, and the recording along with its transcript (both in English) are now available on this Mozfest page.
