Landecker Democracy Fellow Christiana Bukalo is featured in a radio report from Deutschlandfunk Nova. During this report she is talking about her experiences as being stateless and how she wants to help other stateless people. She recognized that growing up, she “associated statelessness with a lot of shame and [had] almost actively hidden it. Now, though, Christiana has created a platform statefree.world, which aims to connect stateless individuals with one another as well as resources that may otherwise be difficult to find. Today, Christiana no longer actively hides her statelessness and recognizes it is part of her identity but asserts that it does not define her.
