Alicia Terrero

Article

Alicia Terrero is an engaged and passionate leader with a commitment to helping low-income, people of color. As a first-generation immigrant from the Dominican Republic, she has witnessed first-hand how much policy can be used to shape people’s quality of life, either for better or worse. Much of her time in college has involved advocating for the needs of other students of color and organizing events to educate the campus community about issues like mass incarceration and discrimination in academia. Alicia’s internship experiences have allowed her to find that her passion lies with providing immigrant communities with access to the resources needed for their mental and physical well being, such as adequate housing and access to health care. Ultimately, she hopes to pursue a career in public interest law and public policy advocacy.
