Claire Luzia Leifert

Claire Luzia Leifert founded and heads the Impact & Innovation Lab at the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP), a learning and experimentation space for new approaches to policy advice and knowledge transfer on international politics. She moreover heads the Carl Friedrich Goerdeler Kolleg for Good Governance, a one-year fellowship program for changemakers from Eastern Europe who are advancing the democratic transformation of their organisations and societies.

Before joining DGAP, she worked for two years at the Heinrich Böll Foundation in the fields of social and health policy as well as education and science policy. Since 2006, she has also been working as a freelance project manager and trainer at home and abroad, currently focusing on organisational development of non-profit organisations, design thinking and public sector innovation.

Claire Luzia Leifert studied European Studies and International Relations in Maastricht, Montreal, Berlin and Vancouver. She is an alumna at the HPI School of Design Thinking and a certified adult education trainer (Artop) as well as a Senior Fellow of Humanity in Action’s Berlin programme.
